It not *that* long ago that SIMs were credit card sized!

Its always a question of space. Since the handsets got smaller,
smaller sims were needed. The ipad is just the next step, therefore
this development is the consequent step. Apple was always a leader in
technology.
When it comes to the ipad, small devices require small simcards.

phone.

Smaller and smaller devices may be fine for youngsters with good eyesight
and nimble fingers - but what happens when they grow old? Do they stop using
them?
