I've just been spammed (e-mail) from just-dial, advertising call-through numbers for international calls. Given that it's phone-related and I've received it within a couple of hours of posting to uktm, I've got a suspicion that I know where they got my address from. 21 of the buggers (and counting). All addressed to [random letters]@[my domain]. (See my earlier post ) Okay, maybe I should munge my e-mail address, or file abuse reports... Anyway I just wanted to report it here, and advise against using a company using such techniques to advertise. As there's a link (albeit obfuscated) in the spam to; https://www.just-dial.com/agents/my_...bers.asp#index .... I suspect that it may be the work of an agent rather than Just Dial directly. (The spam came from a clara.net account, Just Dial is hosted by uu.net) I have complained to Just Dial, hopefully they will take action. -- Dave |

(See my earlier post ) Most of them bounced off my SMTP server - which only accepts email for known local parts and bounces the rest (about 23 copies addressed to garbage local parts were bounced in less than a second). Those handful that didn't bounce were disposed of by SpamAssassin. David -- David Wood |
