ventured... Just a quick questions...If I top up with £10, after 30 days I know the free wap and free texts stop unless topped up with another £10 but can I still make and receive calls with the original £10 credit and if so for how long without having to re top up with £10. Another thread has pointed out that the small print of the Online tarif indicates that the phone will be barred unless topped up every 30 days: "Unused calltime carries forward and will not expire provided the calltime balance is topped up by £10 once every 30 days" "If not topped up,then the phone will be barred and you will be unable to make or receive further calls except to top up the balance or contact the emergency services." (Could be regarded as ambiguous - it could be taken to mean "if no credit left on the phone"?) This is of great interest to me, as I'm looking for another home for my other half's mobile. Her texts on Orange have just increased from 5p to 12p, and the O2 Online tarif seemed an ideal replacement. (She's a 15 text a day girl, who's happy with her (unlocked) handset, and rarely makes a voice call). -- Dr. Michael Atkinson, GeoQuest Simulation Software Development Note that email address in the headers is cleared monthly and NOT read. If she's always texting you then you could both switch to Virgin which is 3p/text for Virgin-Virgin and 10p/text for Virgin-other networks. |

This increases in the badminton season over the winter months. I still think O2 online is the best place for her, as she'll easily use up her monthly allowance (300) and £10 worth of texts (another 100) during these months. But during the summer months she won't be exceeding her free allowance, and I'd rather not top-up during at this time. -- Dr. Michael Atkinson, GeoQuest Simulation Software Development Note that email address in the headers is cleared monthly and NOT read. Don't keep a big balance on and then just let it go in the summer. You should be able to re-activate by topping it should it be barred. And an investment of 99p for a spare SIM in the drawer would be another contingency. -- Stuart |
