I want to back up the address book onto my PC. I assumed I could do this by
just copying it off the MMC, but I can't find anything resembling this on
the card. Where's it stored? I don't want to use the SIM because then I'll
lose most of the interesting bits of all the entries.

There's a folder on the MMC called "Address book", it's just hidden so
you have to make sure that windows is set up so that it doesn't hide
hidden files.
