I bought the newer 7.2 meg stick, made by Huawai if I've spelt that
right, and think it works very well, it's scarcely slower than my dad's Talk Talk via- phoneline connection - streamed video and music play without breaks etc - but I'm puzzled by the software and Vodafone's website is useless. When I plug the stick in it prompts to install the software every time even though it's already installed. The meter when viewed for time shows an inflated reading, i.e. it'll say 2 hours and ten minutes when it's two minutes and ten seconds. Clicking on the link to online bill leads nowhere of any use. When you look at the download/upload times the speed is changing constantly, 'up and down like a you-yo' as me dad would say. Maybe I've not understood what this is doing. The display also flips between 3g and 3G+ a lot. Any other tips or observations about this bit of kit from people who've been using it longer are welcome. Thanks in advance. |

It seems to be called VMC Lite.
I suppose aside from my previous enquiries I'm also wondering about 'budgeting' gb usage as apparently Updates don't show up on the meter. Couple of months use and I'll know, and I do visit my parents regularly enough to save a few downloads for when I'm there, ha, but I may find I can do everything without going over the 3 gb limit.
