Default Standard PIM Apps on Android?

What PIM apps are standard on Android ... and are they any good?

I've been Googling myself blue in the face trying to find this out, and
can't seem to find any hard information. I imagine there'll be standard
apps for diary/calendar, contacts, note taking, etc., but what are they
like? Can one get information into and out of them from a PC in some
sensible format that other apps (not just Outlook) can use? Do they do
the job?

... or is there no simple answer? Are these apps provided (or heavily
customized) by every handset manufacturer so that there's no common
software suite?

If anyone can answer those questions -- or provide a link to a relevant
review or discussion I'd be grateful.

Cheers,
Daniel.
