I've looked throught plenty of sites, but don't see the network
listed.

There is a site www.aster.pl but I wouldn't try to search there. The
site is marked as infected by Norton.

I doubt that you will find a website with free SMS to anywhere outside UK.
The cheapest I know are http://www.1899.com/sms.php ,
http://www.18185.co.uk/sms.php, http://www.18185.co.uk/sms.php

Texts to Polish mobiles 2.5 pence (or 2.1 you're outside the EU ;-) )
You have to credit the account with 10.75 Euros, which amounts to
a lot of texts, but you can also use the credit to make very cheap VoIP
calls. Eg.
0.8 pence/min Polish landline
5.8 pence/min Polish mobile
UK landline free (FUP applies)
UK mobile 6.2 pence/min
and the above are inclusive of VAT (if you chose to pay it ;-) )

Probably not from a UK web site that delivers its messages through a
UK based gateway, but there may be web sites in Poland that do it for
free. That may be the best option to look for, but I'm not sure if the
original poster reads/writes Polish.
