Default HTC HD2

Greetings, I'm looking around for my first smartphone, and have been
looking at the above model - seems good, but I hear that Vodaphone have
dropped it.

Is there a problem with it?

There were some issues with the camera, which have been sorted out with a
software patch.

Any views on it from experience?

Yes, I've had the HD2 since December and can thoroughly recommend it. It's
relatively quick, comprehensive and has a fabulous screen. On the downside
I've had to hit the reset button a few times when things haven't been doing
what I wanted, but overall I'm extremely pleased with it.

Most of my iPhone-owning friends are jealous of the screen and the
multi-tasking, while I'm jealous of their app store - as others have said,
Windows Marketplace doesn't have a great deal in there.

I reckon you might still be able to get hold of one on Voda here -

Thanks Bob - gosh, is Plusnet expanding into this area now??!!

Well they say on that site that they expect to have stock early March, but
Vodaphone's own site no longer shows it - which is why I asked my original
question about whether this indicates a problem with the phone itself.

Cheers

Probably because of the imminent arrival (not quite sure how imminent) of
the Windows 7 phone

The you just update the software on the phone. Easy to do.

Can the IPhone software be upgraded when a new version comes out ?

I think WinMoPho won't be around for much longer, and announcements like
this don't inspire confidence either:

Yes, it has Bluetooth. And the HD2 wipes the floor with the iPhone.
