I ordered an Orange wireless broadband dongle by phone. When received,
it didn't work (never mind no reception, it wouldn't even install). I rang to return it (within 7 days of receiving it, and under the SOGSA) and they said they'd send me a return envelope. The envelope (Royal Mail Special Delivery, so currently minimum £4.95, and possibly more by weight) arrived today and wasn't prepaid and the covering letter said I had to pay for the postage. Under the SOGSA, because it wouldn't work, I shouldn't have to pay to return it: I wonder how many people wouldn't know this and would just pay. I rang Orange and they said they should have sent me a prepaid envelope. It might have been an honest mistake on their part, or were they trying it on (just as well I know what the situation was or else they might have got away with it!).
