Is the Three "One Plan" OK to replace fixed line broadband? by
Adam Lipscombe[_2_]
We have slow landline broadband - 1.5 to 2Mbs at best.
Its reasonably robust but oh-so-slow. AFAIK there are no plans to
upgrade this until 2013 :-(
I noticed deal in the three shop on Saturday that promises all-you
can-eat data with tethering permitted for £25 pm. The sales-person
claimed that it was genuinely unlimited up to 90GB, then they throttle
it. Fair enough.

Remote Unlocking motorolas by
xantica
I have seen the ads, but it seems most of them are now saying the same
rubbish "due to high volume reqs, this service is unavailable", kind of
weird they all say this. So I thought I would ask a few questions.
1. where is this software algorithm gotten from ( lets face it, it must be
available for them to have it )
2. Do they use a database from motorola that they connect to.
Any help...

I've read the threads, i.e. a need a data cable and LogoManager. Is
there another piece of software that will read the code too
Noktool 1.8 / 1.9
I've had a few goes at putting this code in. Will it be locked
internally? I say this cos my S55 only gives you 3 warnings

Nokia 6810 Contact Service Message by
K3
I have a 6810 that displays the 'contact service' message when turned on, it
locked out when the user input his security pin number incorrectly.
It did belong to the company I work for and they throw faulty phones away or
recycle rather than repair. Anyway, I was given this one and wondered is
there anyway of getting rid of the message other than sending it off to a
Nokia repair centre.
TIA

Unlocking Nokia 3220? by
Luke Curtis
I have tried to unlock a 3220 on Vodaphone, used the Nokia free
calculator but twice it has come up code error, the Crux unlocker
gives exactly the same codes. I used the 7th code and then the 1st
code.
Do I need to chance any of the more advanced codes? the Nokia free
defaults to Asic 2 & V2 and nothing on MCC&MNC (no idea what these
settings are for.)
Any clues why it should not work? (I did...

Unlocking from Virgin Mobile network by
GB
Virgin have kindly sent me an email detailing how to unlock my Samsung C100
phone from their network.
The code seems perhaps to be generic - several repeated digits. Is it likely
to work on other C100 phones as well?

Nokia security code by
Livewire
I'm probably being stupid but . .
I've got a Nokia 3120 and I can't set the security codes properly.
Setting the sim pincode is fine.
But I want to stop the handset being used with a new sim.
Following the instructions lets me do this easily enough, but only using
the preset 12345 code. (Security settings/security level/ select.

unlocking Sharp GX10i & MMS messaging by
David Gartrell
Hi,
I've not long since taken delivery of a Sharp GX10i on Vodafone PAYT but the
reception around here is pretty poor. I've been thinking about getting the
phone unlocked and then getting an O2 simcard for it (I know O2 is excellent
around here). What I'm wondering is am i likely to have any issues with
doing this particularily with MMS messaging which I would very much like to
be able to...

Voicemail deletion by
AnthonyL
So with reference to the Milly Dowler situation did / do operators
automatically delete voicemails and if so under what conditions eg
already played, voicemail allocation full?
Also has hacking been defined as being more than the user not seting a
pin or leaving at a default pin? Have the newspapers been dialling
someone's mobile and then attempting 0000 - 9999 until they get a hit?
Do any...

Virgin "Mobile Broadband" or "Mobile Web"? by
Chris Blunt[_2_]
I'm going to Spain for a few days over Christmas and want to take my
iPhone which I'm currently using on Virgin Mobile's PAYG Pay by Direct

Mobile Broadband, but apart from the different pricing I can't work
out quite what the difference is between them.
Is there something I can do with one which I can't do with the...
