Power Handheld on Vodafone by Hiram Hackenbacker
I have seen brief details of this on the Vodafone website. Does anyone use one and can comment on it? Does anyone know the manufacturer? -- Hiram Hackenbacker

Contract problem by Dave
I recently brought a "cashback" deal from a mobile phone shop. The deal included a proviso that I could not change tarriff for 6 months since this would result in the mobile operator clawing back some of the commission they pay to the mobile phone shop for obtaining a new contract. The mobile phone shop were great. However the mobile phone operator (t-mobile) have consistently charged me for text...

T-Moble GPRS cost by Sol
I have recently moved from Orange to T-Mobile, and have started to use the GPRS. I use to have Orange's £4 / 3MB GPRS bundle, which worked well for me. I cant work out whether T-Mobile has anything similar. At the moment, GPRS is costing me a small fortune, for email collection and brief wap sessions. Are there better bundles for T-Mobile, or is it simply more expensive than Orange?

problems with 6230 by Gwyn
My sister is having problems using bluetooth with her 6230 It wont recognise the mmc As an alternative solution I would like to buy her a memory card reader. Do they all work with no drivers with win ME ie you just plug the usb in an it sees it as a drive automatically or have you got to be careful which one you buy. -- Gwyn. **spam trap** remove rem if replying

A835 - Predictive text? by Chris Ashley
This phone is doing my head in now - just spent half an hour trying to get the battery door off! When using the predictive text, is there any way to go back and edit an existing word? On my old T610 you could scroll back and it would underline each word and you could use up/down to change the word. On this it looks like I need to delete the word and restart.

dirty deeds and blocked phones by David
My girlfriend bought a phone off e-bay two months ago. It worked okay on T-mobile for two months but now it has been blocked. T- mobile can't say why but hint it may have been reported stolen in the last few days. Apparently it was previously registered on O2 who also say that it appears to have been reported stolen and are hinting that the previous owner may have made an insurance claim on it....

Leaky LCD on T610, and O2 Cust Services experience by Neil
My 9-month-old SE T610 suddenly has a leaky blue smear on the lower left of the LCD display, and some thin blue horizontal lines across the bottom of the display. No evidence of any impact/damage, so I don't know why this happened. The phone is under 12-months warranty still. If I send it away, am I likely to get into debates about it NOT being a manufacturing defect, and being told I must...

Club Z by Martin Robson
Has anyone had experience with an 'organisation' called Club Z? My 14 year old saw their advert on the back of a teen magazine and sent off for a logo for 30p. She now keeps getting sent texts which cost her £3 every time she opens it. Being 14 years old she can't find the comic or any other information about Club Z. Any ideas how to stop getting these texts? I've tried calling Virgin Mobile...

A835 - Can't access 3 services? by Chris Ashley
I've got an A835 and I can't access the 3 services screen for some reason. If I press the services button or select it from the games/applications menu it just takes me to 'Today on 3'. The 'Services' option is on the top of the screen but it only lets me select 'Today on 3' and the '?' icon. The Today on 3 content all works fine but obviously there's a limited selection - any reason...

SMS over GPRS by Mike
When I first posted to this group a few weeks ago, I was correctly informed texting over GPRS was not possible using the normal technique - even though my Nokia indicated they were sent via GPRS. I've since found a small java application which allows texts to be sent using GPRS to a website and then on to the destination phone. I'm saving a fortune when I use it in the ROI, where texting for me...

3G SIM on 2G phones. by i-ball
I had a browse through the terms of service and all I've found relating to the above is a disclaimer that they are not liable if your phone(2G) is damaged as a result of putting in a 3G SIM. Can some one point in the right direction relating to the above. The only problem that I have now, with regards to using a 3G SIM in a 2G phone is not being able to send SMS. Any suggestion? I tried...
