As per subject: Why are 0800 numbers chargeable on mobile but not

If an 0800 number is free, are the networks "allowed" to charge us? Why
can they get away with charging us? Curious but intrigued by this
situation!

Where in Spain are you going? If the Canaries, and you're VERY good at
haggling, try any of the small Asian electronic shops. We picked up an
E-Vodafone SIM + 25 odd euros of credit for 18 euros.

What is the consensus on the best Network these days?
Best for what?
'Best network' is a very subjective term that produces different answers
according to your specific needs.

Problems sending txts to T-mobile abroad from O2 by
Anteateruk
I'm trying to txt someone in Majorca from my O2 phone. From my phone the
txt gets sent and everything appears normal. However, no delivery report
and no txt message is received. I have tried dialling the no. from my O2
phone and this gets through no problem. The person in Majorca can txt me
with no problems.
Thinking that this could be an O2 problem I have tried sending a txt from
the Orange...

Orange Care and authorised user by
Mark
Hello,
I have an Orange T68i with Care registered in my name, which is used
by a friend of mine. Last night she lost it in a bar. I recognise that
I should make the claim but am I free to tell Orange that she was
using it? It says something about an "authorised user" being allowed
in the T&Cs. She's going to call the police and get a lost
property/crime reference. I have already cancelled the...

T610 - Buzz Mobile: Waiting... by
Dan Owen
I placed an order with Buzz Mobile last Tuesday evening (22 July), then
awaiting their stated contact with me to arrange delivery 2 working hours
later.
Nothing.
I e-mailed them late Wednesday and they replied on Thursday saying they'll
contact me when the T610 is in stock.
It's now Monday 28th. Still nothing.

O2 in Tenerife by
Sebby
Tomorrow (well actually today) I'm off to Tenerife. I have an O2 Online
contract tariff.
What is the best network to manually select, or should I just leave my phone
set to automatic? I've searched through the group and only found one post,
which said in short that AMENA was the best network to select. Any views on
this?
Many thanks in advance.

Number Porting Time by
Simon Dean
Here's another question.
Anything I can do to speed up my PAC Code transfer?
T-Mobile have received my PAC Code that I received from Singlepoint (Oh
Joy!) but quote the verbatim "One Week" before my number is transferred.
Can it be speeded up with a carefully placed tenner or something?
Also, is Number Porting really that crap? I only just found out about if

Motorola A830 - 3 phone: Pros/Cons please.... by
©®
Had a look at it today at Superdrug. Not as bad as I thought it would
be. The camera clips off so it "becomes" smaller than full-size.
Bright and big screen.
Anyone have one and can tell me the pros and cons of the phone. Also,
how is battery life especially? Not what the user guide says but what
real-time use gets you.
As there is a nice promotion of this phone (about £50) and tariffs,...
