Fao Steve Terry,& ED50 tariff users by
Jim Oliver
There was a post recently on O list (that i missed) referring to a letter
sent out to ED50 subscribers .
To anyone that has received this ,as i haven't yet, what's it all about?.Are
they trying to wind up this great tariff?. In absence of any other tariffs
coming close to competing this is going to make a huge difference to my O-P
calling.
Advice & comments greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

Orange Contract Phone: Activation Woes by

I bought my new contract phone on Sat afternoon from Phones4u. I
expected the phone to be activated by now (monday dinner) but it

Questions on 3 by
Bill Bennett
Yes, you can video call other 3 users.
The network is new, and patchy, but when you are out of Three service area
you switch automatically to O2, another UK network.
The prices are excellent, £25 (around 35 euro) for 500 anyone anytime
minutes.

Orange Answerphone Problem by
aa
My Orange Answerphone has been switched off since February this year.
Before going to France just recently, I programmed Orange 'Everyphone' to
transfer calls to my UK landline. This arrangement worked fine except for
one incoming call that somehow found its way onto my Orange Answerphone,
even though it was supposedly switched off.
I checked with Orange CS immediately afterwards and they said...

Siemens S55 security code screensaver by
Mike NG
If I go menu - Setup - Display - Screensaver - Security I put in my
phone lock code (not SIM or SIM2) which I am happy with
However, if you type an invalid code in, it seems like you only get 3
goes at it. What happens after 3 attempts, because there is no mention
of this in the manual.

I read somewhere that the contacts needed cleaning, so I openned it up and

Does anyone have any ideas on this one?
Thanks

Java on the T610 by
Simon Guilliard
I've been reading posts on uk.telecom.mobile that suggest that the Java
implementation in the T610 does not support sockets. This is given as the
reason why none of the Instant Messenger clients work on the T610.
However, is anyone able to confirm that this is the case? I have recently
upgraded my firmware to R1L013 and have noticed that the logo displayed when
loading a Java application has...

Samsung T100 Clock by
fat bwoy
the clock on my T100 loses about 5 minutes a day.
anybody else with this handset have the same problem or is it just mine ?
I know it sounds petty, but when you use your phone daily as an alarm clock
it is a pain, after being used to a Nokia which keeps perfect time.
OCS do not see it as faulty so refuse to replace.
If others don't have the same problem I might have to 'lose' it & claim...

3 sim Question by
J-A-K-E
I have a Nokia 6310i on Orange with the contract about to run out.
I am not bothered about my number
I want to keep the 6310i as I also have one for work and have a car kit (not
Bluetooth)
but like the idea of the 3 - 500 minute tariff
What would be the cheapest option ?

Mobile Phone by

Alan reckoned that:
Working on the assumption that if something seems too good to be true
it usually is, how can I check the phone is legitimate i.e. not stolen
etc?
You can't really - there is no point anyway as your 'freind' could easliy
report the phone stolen the day after selling it to you.

t610 vodafone customisations by
Baris
Hi,
I recently bought a Sony-Ericsson t610 on a vodafone monthly contract
from phones4u on Tottenham Ct Rd. I'm disappointed, no, disgusted by the
customisation layer that vodafone have added. This is a phone with a
16-bit screen, and they've replaced all the menu graphics with what
looks like 4-colour icons. What a farce.
I've read a few posts about how to get the phone flashed - however...

Calling card with geographic access number by

Hi,
Does anyone know of a calling card that has an access number starting
with 01 or 020 instead of the usual 0800 access number?
Anyone know of one that is 01x or 02x (or even a mobile number prefix), that
lets you call 0870 numbers?

3510i Fault by
Ben Rothwell
Hi,
I have a Nokia 3510 that I have been using with no problems at all for 3/4
months. However, I took it camping on A Rugby tournament this weekend, and
it may have got a bit moist in my tent... and now the two menu buttons, the
down button and the 4 and 7 buttons do not work. Everything else on the
phone works... Hmm.
Is this likely to be resolved by opening up the phone, or is there...
