Hi,
Does anyone know of a calling card that has an access number starting
with 01 or 020 instead of the usual 0800 access number?
I have a T-Mobile contract with loads of offpeak minutes to landlines,
and I would like to use these to access the calling card to phone

Orange Contract Phone: Activation Woes by
Jo3
Have you actually asked them on the registration line to activate the
account..? It doesn't happen automatically unless you bought it from an
Orange shop and they did it for you there. Call the registrations line
again and tell them to activate it, you should leave the phone switched
off for a couple of hours afterwards, when you switch back on you should
get a few SIM update...

Excellent deal!
You mean joining a network that is only slightly better than two plastic

How long from when you purchase an o2 online PAYG card do you get to
activate it before it becomes inactive?
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Matt
As long as you don't connect it to the network which activates it,
there seems to be no time limit.

Nokia 8210 locking up by
g00se
Hi
Anyone know why a fully working Nokia 8210 (2 years old) might just start
locking up after 30 seconds of use?
The handset then switches itself off after not responding for a minute or
so, before emitting a very long buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz from the
vibration unit (while still with nothing on the display, ie in powered off
mode)

Err, i think you will find that no dealer in their right mind will let a

I bought my new contract phone on Sat afternoon from Phones4u. I

Is this usual, and if not what can I do to remedy the situation?

Orange Upgrade return address. by

Hi I have cancelled my upgrade with O. They keep promising to send me
a jiffy bag to return the phone. I have called OCR who say its on the
computer to send out bag and they will re-order it. I don't mind
paying for a courier or reg. post to return it myself. But i cant seem
to get the address out of them.
One rep even said they would rather me send it back in their pre paid

7650 "beater"? by
td
I have had my Nokia 7650 for nearly a year and I am thinking about an
upgrade...
Thing is, from what I can see, there is nothing that beats it for what it
provides - it has the PDA features, it has Java apps and games, it has
polyphonics and a camera.
The camera facility I don't need to upgrade, cos the quality isn't an issue
and it is used rarely. The java apps/games are quite varied and...

Vodafone "simplifying" too... by
Vince
God Dammit.
Vodafone sent me a letter which I received this morning to advise me that
they are "moving" me to a "better" plan from September - apparently I'll be
moved to a "Perfect Fit" plan - amusingly in the letter it does not really
tell me which plan I'll be moved to.
This is what they *actually* tell me about my "perfect fit" plan:
- Your monthly charges will go up by £2

Opions sought on 3 by

What do people think of the new 3G network.
What is the coverage like (in the midlands)
What are the phones like (battery life seems low)
What are the costs (the talk plans seem cheaper than anyone else around)
Thanks John

New 3 Tariffs by
Steve Dulieu
Hi All,
I see that 3 are now offering "heavy user" video talk tariffs, VT 1000 & VT
2000.
http://www.three.co.uk/explore/howmuch/videoTalk1000.omp
Any high-rollers out there fancy scaring the living sh*te out of OCR &
having a go at getting them to OVP one of 'em? :-)
VT 1000 = 1000 mins xnet + 150 sms (for good, not first 3 months) 60 quid
pm.
VT 2000 = 2000 mins xnet + 300 sms (ditto above)...
