L
Hi all,
Just looking for a little advice, I have recently bought a Nokia 6610 which
I'm really pleased with and I now want to connect it to my pc to add
ringtones, pictures, archive my phonebook etc. I know I need to get a cable
to do this but I am confused over wich one is best? I know usb will be
faster than a serial port connection but is this the only advantage?
Also, does the brand of the...

O2 sim free 300text/300wap £20 activation fee? by
Sil-Mon Li
Hi,
I've had numerous emails (not from O2) saying that there is an
activation fee of £20 for these sim cards. Is this true?
http://tinyurl.com/cri0
It doesn't say you have to pay an activation fee anywhere in the terms
and conditions.... or does it? Have I missed it?

Attn: Dan. Help wanted with Java games by
John Vincent
Dan
Hope you don't mind me asking for more advice. The CD that came with my S55
contains Java games, the application on the CD that allows you to transfer
files is PC only, I'm on a Mac. I am wondering if it is possible to send
them via email to my phone as I did with audio and picture files, I have not
tried to do it, because there are many Java files per game.
Thanks again for all your help.

Orange Contract Phone: Activation Woes by
Ivor Jones
PS In exceptional circumstances it can take up to 24 hours after phoning
the registration line for the account to become active, however this is
very rare, it usually takes 2 to 4 hours at most.

What Outlook compatible phone by
Jon Allwright
My contract is up for renewal with orange and I was looking at the SPV as an
uprgrade but now as it to has been upgraded I don't want to pay 129 for it.
I want a phone that I can have my outlook calender on, so as far as I am
aware that is all the nokias as they use data suite which doesn't cope with
outlook recurring entries very well.
As far as I can see the options are a P800 (mad expensive)...

Question: siemens C35 modem (with USB cable) by
Ali Bharmal
I've got a Powerbook with a USB serial cable which in theory allows my
Siemens C35i to act as a modem.
The cable has a driver which allows the phone to be talked to as if it
were a serial device, and I can send it AT commands via minicom (so I've
established it can talk to the computer).
Although I can configure it, i.e. reset the phone, change its internal
settings etc..., when I dial out (to...

Just been given a T28 but not sure if it is unlocked. Displaying networks
lists BTcellnet and Voda.
How can I check?
Is it worth unlocking?
If so can it be done by me or do I have to take it to someone?
It is believed the phone was used on BTcellnet originally. Want to use it

how do I get Silent Calendar Alarms on 7650 by
Douglas
I have a Nokia 7650 which for which i have a monthly reminder in my
calendar. This i fine as I set a calendar entry with an alarm which
prompts me but i would like my phone to just display the message
instead of play an alarm sound as well.
There is no way to specify which alarm sound you want, if there was i
could just create a sound with no noise.
I have Psiloc's System Tools but that does not...
