Are CPW phones on Virgin, unlocked ? by
JohnB
A year or so ago I got a couple of phones from CPW on the Virgin
network. Both were unlocked as supplied.
Anyone know if this still the case ? I am particularly interested in
the Motorola L6 for my young'un (to use an O2 SIM).
Thanks

Cheapest way to get a Samsung D600? by
JohnB
My young'un is on O2 Online 50 (on a reduced tarrif). Her old samsung
slidephone is knackered. It is 19 months old. I have asked for the
D600 on an upgrade but they say her usage is low and can only offer that
phone if I pay £119.
If I cancel and sign up again it will be £19.99 and £19/month. I may do
this but only when my reduced tarrif ends in October.
In the meantime is there a...

84010 and O2 customer services - bouquet by
Neil
Hi
I guess it had to happen to me eventually.
My O2 bill this month showed a charge of £1.28 for "Interactive
Services"
I called CS free on 100 and asked what this was. The chap said it was
probably for a downloaded ring tone or a game. He also told me that
according to my account, it was from 84010 but he couldn't find

Orange quid-a-day GPRS restricted? by
Al Reynolds
Listened to BBC Radio1 for an hour this afternoon on
my Nokia 9500 over £1/day GPRS. Just over 10.5 MB
of data streamed in 1 hour is a consistent 3k/second.
Not bad for GPRS!

Endless free upgrades calls.... by
Geoff
Had a free upgrade from T Mobile the other week, which was fine, except I've
had a further six calls asking me if I'd like an upgrade! Tried calling
them, endless queues in customer service, and filled out the email page (why
can't companies simply provide an email address?) only to find there was no
submit button at the bottom.
Not clever!
Geoff.

Locating 18866 by
Lem
I have been told that if I want I can get the address associated with
a PO Box for free.
I am having trouble with 18866/1899 who have stopped service because
they mistakenly think there is an unpaid bill. Of course they do not
answer emails.
The addresses of 18866 & 1899 are given on the invoice as:

3G/GPRS for "fixed" broadband? by
Robin Faichney
My ADSL works only about 60% of the time, due to a long (8km) and
crackly phone line. I've given up on getting that fixed so am looking
at alternatives, including 3G/GPRS. I'd probably use that as backup,
for the other 40% of the time. I might get a laptop but for now I'm
looking at desktop connections. The alternatives seem to be a datacard
used with a PCI adaptor -- though I'm not convinced...

john.stephen@10glebelands.com
I have two problems with this othewise excellent phone :-
1. I am unable to transfer any images or music to the 64MB external
chip; opening up the 64 MB flash 'drive' within MS Explorer (Win XP)
shows the folders but selecting one results in a 'clicking' sound and
the folders 'move'. No matter what I do I cannot drill down to a
folder and drag and drop files. What is the secret please ?!!

Recommendation sought by
K
I've just completed a year on an Orange contract, purchased through
OSPS, and requested my PAC. Am now looking for a new contract, and
wanted to ask for recommendations.
I don't need many minutes per month - 30 would probably be
sufficient. A few texts would be nice, but not essential. I'm not
particularly bothered about the actual phone either.
I know that Orange reception around where I...
